Grammy Award Listing

On February 10, 2008 Mike was awarded two more Grammy Awards for his stellar work on Pilgrimage. This brings his lifetime total to 15. (On a personal note I was stunned that Mike was not included in the 'In Memoriam' video tribute during the broadcast.) On a positive jazz note, Herbie Hancock's recording River: The Joni Letters won Best Album marking the first time in 43 years that a jazz album won the award. In 1965 Herb Alpert won Best Record for A 'Taste Of Honey.'
